Monadnock Archaeological Consulting LLC, formed in 2004, employs a staff with extensive experience in New England archaeology. We are on the list of approved archaeological consultants of the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources, the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, and the Maine Historic Preservation Commission, and in all three states are qualified to direct all levels of investigation on precontact Native American and historic period sites. Our Principal Investigators all have extensive experience working on sites throughout New England, meet all the qualifications established by the Secretary of the Interior under 36 CFR Part 61, and together have authored over four hundred technical reports for a wide variety of public and private sector clients, including numerous projects for local municipalities and state agencies. Since 2007 we have been awarded eight service contracts by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, under which we have successfully completed archaeological review for dozens of transportation projects of all levels of complexity, and also have an ongoing service contract with the New Hampshire Dam Bureau to conduct archaeological reviews for dam removal projects. We have received two Preservation Achievement Awards from the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance, for our work on the historic Webster Stagecoach Stop and Store in Danville, New Hampshire in 2008 and the Northwood Congregational Church in 2015.
